MCUAAAR/PRBA Summer Mentoring Program

The Michigan Center for African American Aging Research (MCUAAAR) and Program for Research on Black Americans (PRBA) are pleased to announce its 2023 Summer Mentoring Workshop for Advanced Doctoral Students on African American Research and Latinx Research. The virtual workshop will take place May 31 – June 2, 2023. Drs. Robert Joseph Taylor, Amanda Woodward, and David Cordova are the program faculty. The deadline to apply for the 2023 Summer Mentoring Program is April 3, 2023. This workshop emphasizes training in numerous areas including: 1) publishing in peer review journals, 2) writing grant proposals to the NIH, 3) the tenure process, 4) ethical conduct of research, 5) successful mentoring and collaborative relationships, and, most importantly, 6) how to navigate the academy.
